Barbara Gryglaszewski is a retired systems engineering manager, completing degrees at the University of California at Los Angeles, San Diego. During her career she has worked for a variety of small, medium and large companies. She has worked in a variety of areas including systems and software design, production, test, proposals, and project management. Most of her career was spent in the defense industry, working on development of guidance instruments and systems, the Global Position System and its applications. Commerical projects included highway tolling systems and vessel traffic systems.
Barbara’s interests include travel, gardening and sewing. Barbara and her husband, who was born in Finland, are frequent travellers to Sweden and Finland where they have many friends. In addition, travel to Poland is a favorite, where Barbara can visit her extended Polish family.
Barbara joined the Rotary Club of Anaheim after retirement, ready to give back the community. Although she supported company sponsored efforts in the past, it was time to put the same effort she put into her career into bettering the community and the world at large. The Rotary club, with its vast network of clubs and international contacts was the perfect fit.
