Recently, the Rotary Club of Anaheim received this letter, along with a donation. A small gift, that was still appreciated after 53 years.
“To the Rotary Foundation:
I am enclosing this small donation in appreciation for receiving ths gift 53 yrs ago.
I attended Fremont Junior High School and was in the band. Back then they had band instruments for use while in class, however, we could not take them home to practice. Unable to afford one, the school got a clarinet donated by Rotary Club. That Clarinet was then presented to me. I remained in the band all 6 yrs. Through junior high & High School (Anaheim High School)
Having gotten this wonderful opportunity and experience, in appreciation I want to give back towards helping out someone else.
