Backpacks for Youth Distribution!
Once again, the Anaheim Rotary Club has provided the Magnolia School District with 370 fully stocked backpacks to give students. hey will be given to the District’s Parent Involvement Liaisons at every school who will then give them to the students that need them the most. An additional 100 fully stocked backpacks were given to the Savanna School District, and 30 were given to the Family Justice Center.
The Rotary Club of Anaheim was chartered on May 1, 1921. The club has met weekly on Monday afternoons for the entirety of its existence. Currently, the club is deciding on a new location for its weekly meetings after the sudden closing of JT Schmids in Anaheim. Our Club meetings contain a variety of presentations from Industry, non-profits, other Rotary Clubs, and “Craft Talks” from our current members. In addition, monthly off-site meetings have been instituted. These off-site meetings allow the club additional interaction with the Anaheim Community. Our members come from a variety of businesses, industries and professions. They span commercial, non-profit and civic organizations. The Club welcomes new members, to expand our outreach into the community, and to expand our understanding of how the Club can better serve the community.
